Frequently Asked Questions:
Will this affect me as a Unity Bank member?
This change will only impact you if you hold a general insurance policy with QBE.
When will Unity Bank make this change?
From February 27, 2023, Unity Bank will no longer distribute QBE products. We have chosen to distribute general insurance products through CGU.
How does this affect my QBE insurance policy?
If you are a current insurance policy holder, nothing will change until your policy is due for renewal, and you will be offered insurance provided by CGU.
- You will receive a letter from Unity Bank at least four weeks before the renewal date.
- Please review the letter carefully as it will contain information about the new CGU policy offer, invitations to insure, Product Disclosure Statement, and payment options.
- If you decide to accept the offer or would like to make changes to your policy, please contact the CGU Customer Care Team on 13 22 94 once you receive your invitation to insure.
- You will not receive a renewal notice from QBE, and your policy with QBE will not be renewed unless you contact QBE directly.
Will Unity Bank still help me if I change to CGU Insurance?
Yes, Unity Bank will provide all the support you need as a Unity Bank Member for general insurance offered through Unity Bank.
What if I do not want CGU Insurance?
If you choose not to insure with CGU, you can visit findaninsurer.com.au for information on other insurance options.
Where can I find more information?
You can learn more information about CGU through their website or by calling the CGU Customer Care team at 13 22 94.
